Water & Wastes Digest and Roads & Bridges to Host Live Diversity Conference for the Infrastructure Industry
Arlington Heights, IL (March 2, 2017) — Scranton Gillette Communications’ Water & Wastes Digest (W&WD) and Roads & Bridges (R&B) magazines will present a live conference on June 28 in Arlington, VA, as a continuation of their cooperative “Think Diversity” education program.
The diversity program launched in December 2016 with a complimentary webinar on successfully incorporating DBEs and D&I programs in infrastructure industry companies. Presenters covered the ABCs of disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) as well as “how-to” tips for implementing successful internal diversity and inclusion (D&I) programs. The live event will continue the discussion and expand the topics to include how technology is driving a diverse workforce, and ways to implement succession planning. The program is an interactive format with presenters who are immersed in the infrastructure industry and have success stories to share on how they mastered diversity in their companies or municipalities.
Encouraged to attend are infrastructure contractors, corporate management, municipal engineers, government administrators, and public works and safety directors. Q&A sessions will follow each accredited seminar. Product manufacturers’ reps also will be available to answer any questions at tabletop exhibits during the conference.
Scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, June 28, the one-day conference will include lunch for the attendees and will be held at the headquarters building for the Association of the United States Army in Arlington, VA. Attendees are advised to register early at www.cvent.com/d/kvq6p1. If seating is still available the day of the conference, on-site registration will open at 9 a.m. The all-inclusive fee for the conference is $99.
