Surveyed Attendees of SWS Fall Virtual Expo Give High Marks for Their Online Experience

Arlington Heights, IL (December 6, 2016) — All 659 attendees of the SWS Fall Virtual Expo, hosted online in November 2016, by Scranton Gillette Communications’ Storm Water Solutions, were immediately emailed a 13-question survey to determine their Expo satisfaction as well as their suggestions for future events. Of the total respondents, 96.4% ranked the Fall Virtual Expo as a good or excellent experience.

While 55% of the attendees participated in past SWS Virtual Expos, 96.3% indicated they would attend future Virtual Expos — with more than 80% saying they would attend two such events within the course of a year.

The two live, accredited webinars were consistently highly rated by up to 91% of the attendees; nine out of 10 attendees also expressed their satisfaction with visiting the booth exhibits (which recorded 2,382 entries); and more than 80% ranked the networking opportunities with exhibitors as good or excellent. The average time logged at the Fall Virtual Expo was a little more than five hours.

“The attendee survey responses reinforce the industry’s appreciation of educational, interactive, online events that supplement face-to-face event opportunities,”  says Dennis Martyka, SWS publisher. “We appreciate attendee’s honest feedback and suggestions for relevant webinar topics for future events.”

The SWS Spring Virtual Expo will take place in March 2017 and typically logs around 1,100 attendees. Both the Spring and Fall Virtual Expos are archived on for repeat viewings of webinars and booth exhibits.

On November 7-9, 2017, a live conference and exhibition in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park will be added to the educational event offerings by Storm Water Solutions (SWS). In partnership with sister publications Water & Wastes Digest (W&WD) and Roads & Bridges magazines, along with industry leader Harry Stark, SWS is launching this new national networking and education event to provide efficient, responsible and economical solutions for storm water and erosion control. A call for papers will be announced in early 2017 and registration will open in the summer of 2017 at
