Roads & Bridges to Host a Virtual Expo With Accredited Webinars in Spring 2017
Arlington Heights, IL (November 14, 2016) — Scranton Gillette Communications’ Roads & Bridges (R&B) magazine will present its inaugural Virtual Expo on Tuesday, April 5, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern. This unique online educational event builds upon the success of sister publication Storm Water Solutions’ Spring and Fall Virtual Trade Shows, which have drawn as many as 1,100 registrants.
Educational tracks will include such topics as road construction/maintenance, bridge construction/maintenance, system preservation, safety, traffic management, and technology. Webinar attendees will earn one Professional Development Hour. With the Expo and webinars archived on roadsbridges.com for three months after the Expo, attendees and their colleagues can return as often as they wish to view the webinars again or anew.
Pavilions at the online Expo will house multiple vendor booths where attendees may view videos, download literature and have real-time conversations with company representatives. Within the 7-hour window of the live online Expo, attendees can come and go as their schedules permit.
“Face-to-face industry events are important for the hands-on equipment experience they deliver,” says Roads & Bridges Publisher Ryan Hanson, “but the transportation infrastructure industry is overdue for a live online educational opportunity that entire teams can attend without having to leave their offices. We’ve made it one of our missions to deliver that opportunity.”
Abstracts for webinar presentations may be submitted to Roads & Bridges’ Editorial Director Bill Wilson at [email protected] by the deadline of January 13, 2017. Papers must be based on a project or research that is either in the process of being completed or completed over the past year.
Expo registration will open in early 2017 at roadsbridges.com where the agenda also will be posted.
