Arlington Heights, IL (February 20, 2019) — Scranton Gillette Communications brands are among the finalists for the 65th annual Jesse H. Neal Awards. The Water Infrastructure Group (Water & Wastes Digest, Water Quality Products, and Storm Water Solutions), Roads & Bridges, Imaging Technology News, and Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology earned six nominations across four editorial categories.

The most coveted prize in B2B publishing, the Jesse H. Neal Awards, sponsored and hosted by Connectiv, recognize the business press for journalistic enterprise, service to the industry and editorial craftsmanship.

Imaging Technology News is a finalist in three categories: Best Technical Content for its team coverage of the topic of gadolinium, which included print, video and social media; Best Commentary/Blog for contributor Greg Freiherr; and Best Range of Work by a Single Author, also by Greg Freiherr.

Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology Editor Dave Fornell is a finalist for Best Range of Work by a Single Author for his reporting from the TCT 2018 Conference, that included blog posts and video coverage.

The three brands that make up the Water Infrastructure Group — Water & Wastes Digest, Water Quality Products, and Storm Water Solutions — share a nomination for Best Subject-Related Package for “Delaying Day Zero,” a multi-media series covering water scarcity in Cape Town and beyond. Team members Bill Wilson, Bob Crossen, Amy McIntosh, Lauren Baltas, Jason Kenny and Kathy Travis contributed to the series.

Wilson, along with Brian W. Budzynski and Tim Bruns, earned another Subject-Related Package nomination, for Roads & Bridges’ coverage of the Florida International University bridge collapse.

Jesse H. Neal Award winners will be announced on March 29, at the Neal Awards luncheon in New York City.
